In 2017 I went to visit a potter up in Galloway whose work I've always admired - Andy Priestman (@minniwick) - beautiful distinctive wood fired tableware and jars. I saw the kiln, studio and his local quarries, trying to learn everything I could over the few days I stayed with him. I was so new to the world of glazes and wood firing, and he was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge.

He makes his own clay, glazes and kilns, and creates really beautiful work with classic, understated shapes. A very inspiring visit!
